Somewhere I ran across an archive of 1930’s pulp magazine covers which I now can’t locate. Among those included were covers for one called “Bedtime Stories” which were unbelievably scandalous and sleazy for the mid-30’s.
That sounds like this. Every boy’s favourite source for the history of pre-revolutionary France:
