I’ve run out of newish photos (and yes, I know there’s a simple solution to that, but still), so here’s one from October.
This is the rosemary beetle, Chrysolina americana, which is a species native to southern Europe that is now a pest in England. They can’t fly, apparently, so they must have snook across the channel on pot plants. The little buggers nibble away at rosemary, lavender, sage and so on; you can actually see some of the damage in this shot. Pretty, though.
