There’s something cheeringly old-fashioned about a protest against freemasonry. He’s no Stanley Green (do follow that link, btw), but you have to take what you can get.
[After a bit of googling, I'm pretty sure this guy has a website, stopsecretcults dot blogspot dot com; I'm not going to link to it because I don't want to attract his attention. I'm inclined to take back the 'cheeringly old-fashioned' comment: paranoid delusions are only really funny in the abstract.]

Lovely photo. And funny/interesting. Also, to add a nicely surreal note, is the woman on the far left really carrying a large foam lottery hand?
Thanks :)

Yes, it was the day of the parade for our Olympic athletes. Foam hands all round.
Aha. Now, to anyone who didn’t know that (like me), it makes an interesting quirky sub-story to the picture. I feel a bit let down that eeeveryone in London had a foam hand that day. Although on second thoughts, the idea of lots of Londoners waving foam lottery hands about and then taking them home on the tube is quite funny in itself.
Yes, they were handing them out along the parade route. If you look closely a couple of people in the background have them as well: the woman in the orange top in front of the memorial to Edith Cavell, and the man on the far right.
Last night I had a chance to browse around, and noticed your other pictures of the parade, which explain it, too. Aha. The Stanley Green link is interesting, and somewhat sad. How are you, anyway? Are you still writing poetry, or are you concentrating on the writing, the birds, and the photography?
I’m well. Not really writing poems, but otherwise fine :)
